When it comes to trips, I’m always ready – but add parents and other older family members: that’s good enough to put me off. We have this place near Gazipur / Tongi (near Ashulia)- just beside the lake. it’s perfectly a lake house in the rainy season, but in winter water level goes down, turning it into a farm house. Being close to the city gives this place the advantage of electricity, water and drainage system – all in great working conditions. I believe, a touch of WiFi would have been groovy. But that won’t be stopping you from exploring the place, maybe some time off from technology does work.
Like I said, when you bring in the old peps, its kind-of does get “boring”. But good for us, we had enough charisma to have fun on our own. Everyone was sort of doing their own thing, and my favorite part was the boat ride, photography, and checking out the vast village all around. Of course, the barbecue and special prawns cooked by my uncle added the extra spice. The best thing was once again about us, the cousins all hanging out together. Times have passed, and everyone drifted apart, chasing our own dreams – it still feels great to be in some of these reunions. Yes, I didn’t get to do all the jaw dropping daredevil stuffs that I usually am a big fan of – but at the end of the day, it was pretty cool. Don’t know when would be the next time we’d do something like this again, but it gave us all some nice memories to hold on to.
